Your privacy is important to us. At Fathom Applications we have a few fundamental principles about management of personal information:

  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
  • Within our application, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what personal information is visible to the public, kept private, and permanently deleted.

Below is our privacy policy which addresses these principles:

Fathom Applications Pty Ltd. ("Fathom", "we", "us") operates several websites including FathomHQ.com. It is Fathom’s policy to fully comply with information privacy law and to respect your privacy regarding any personal information we may collect while operating our websites and providing our services.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Fathom collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Fathom’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Fathom’s visitors use its website. From time to time, Fathom may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. Fathom also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users in order to improve user experiences and implement appropriate web site security.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Fathom’s websites choose to interact with Fathom in ways that require Fathom to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Fathom gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for a free trial or paid service plan to provide their name and email address. Those who engage in transactions with Fathom – by purchasing access to a service, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including the information (such as credit-card details) required to process those transactions. In each case, Fathom collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Fathom. Fathom does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information. Deciding not to supply such information may mean a user is prevented from engaging in certain website-related activities, or acquiring services from us.

Online Advertising

AdWords Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service provided by Google. It connects the website visitor activity on www.fathomhq.com with the Google Adwords advertising network. AdWords remarketing will display relevant ads on sites across the Internet, tailored to you based on what parts of the FathomHQ website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your machine. Third-party vendors, including Google, use these cookies to serve the ads. You can opt out of the cookie tracking here: http://google.com/settings/ads/onweb/optout?hl=en

Aggregated Statistics

Fathom may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to its websites. However, Fathom does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Fathom discloses personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on Fathom’s behalf or to provide services available at Fathom’s websites. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Fathom’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Fathom will not disclose personally-identifying information to other organisations for payment. Other than as described above, Fathom only discloses personally-identifying information in response to a court order or other regulatory request, or when Fathom believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Fathom, third parties or the public.

If you are a registered user of Fathom and have supplied your email address, Fathom may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Fathom and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Fathom takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Fathom uses cookies to help Fathom identify visitors, their usage of Fathom website, and their website access preferences. Fathom visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Fathom’s websites. Certain features of Fathom’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Business Transfers

If Fathom, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired by a purchaser of Fathom’s business, or in the unlikely event that Fathom ceases trading or becomes insolvent, Fathom’s user database would be one of the assets that may be transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Fathom may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Fathom may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Fathom’s sole discretion. Fathom encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
